Nhuja Maharjan he/they

Business Manager

Hi all :) My name in Nhuja. I am a Computer Science junior with a minor in Chemical Engineering but my academic interests are spread everywhere from math to media theory.

I have had experience in 3 research labs since my first year summer, and I would be more than happy to share my experiences regarding undergraduate research. I have spent a lot of time thinking about going to graduate school vs industry and have opinions about both of them.

Feel free to reach out to me to talk about academia and industry... but I cannot promise the conversation won't end up with FKA Twigs or Princess Mononoke.

Kevin Contreras they/them

Hi queers! My name is Kevin, I am a senior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies (hence the newsletter’s concluding queer highlights). I'm a first-gen, Hispanic student from Dallas, TX so obviously I feel right at home in Rochester.

I'm a member of Baja SAE, the ME DEI Committee, and an O4U stan. Reach out if you’d like help accessing resources, want to discuss any drag race franchise, or bring up queer theories you’re interested in!

I am an advocate for marginalized people of all types—including queer, low-income, BIPOC, disabled, religious minorities, and more—and strive to help us gain access to resources and opportunities that can lead to a prosperous future for all, despite our hardships. Feel free to contact me about anything such as available resources, classes, or even cats and video games! Especially my cats.
