About Our Roles

President

The WiCMiC President acts as a representative for the U of R during networking and career events. The President provides direction and oversees all events throughout the year. The President delegates tasks to the respective positions on the executive board and works on major projects, with assistance from the executive board.

Social Chair

The social chair heads the social committee and plan fun/enriching social events that will help our members connect with each other. They aim to create a community among members, within clubs, and on campus. They also connect with alumni, faculty and other campus groups

Events Chair

The event chair heads the events committee and organizes events that will help our members gain new insights and develop professional skills. They plan fun and educational experiences for members and aim create a community within the club and beyond.

Outreach Chair

Our outreach chair heads their committee and coordinates events with companies and other school organizations that will connect members. They also plan co-sponsorships/hosting events and monitor emails for any opportunities with alumni, faculty, companies, and other groups

Secretary

The secretary manages the social media presence of WiC-MiC, primarily on Instagram. They make room bookings and end out weekly emails with information about what WiC-MiC is up to and opportunities our members may be able to take advantage of.

Busness Manager

The business managers role is to manage the budget and all financial transactions for the organization. They are also the Virtual EMS contact, which means they submit room requests via the online portal.
