Queers Read This!
Hello, alphabet mafia! We had so much fun meeting you all at the Winter Activities Fair last week! The variety of majors was refreshing, pls also remind all your non-STEM majors we are open to and have opportunities for all majors.
This/Last Week
GIM this Wednesday from 7-8 pm at Douglass 401!!1!
Join us this Wednesday (January 24) for our General Interest Meeting from 7-8 pm at Douglass 401! We will review our academic & professional c*ntification as a relatively new student org, tease the ambitious events already in the works (speakers, drag, socials), and vibe queerly. Also, there will be pizza and fun drinks to enjoy afterward!
As a reminder of oSTEM norms for new members, please avoid taking pictures/recording other members without explicit permission and default to using they/them pronouns for people whose pronouns you don’t know.

- Graduate Applications Program: Applications due February 1, 2023
Applying to graduate schools typically costs many hundreds of dollars which poses a major barrier to queer students, who are disproportionately affected by economic hardship. The oSTEM Graduate School Application Program alleviates this burden and connects you with senior queer scientists for application feedback. Read more about the programs (and more affinity resource orgs) here and apply for financial aid here and/or for grad app review here. - Website Updates
You may have noticed some changes to our CCC website over the past couple of weeks. I’ve committed to restructuring a lot of it so it doesn’t look neglected (and to include privacy policy tingz), but I’ll avoid messing with the Resources and Opportunities (R&O) page so you can still access past opportunities still open for you to look at since we avoid repeating them in our newsletters (except today’s since we’re back from break).
Browse through our CCC website to take advantage of our compiled Resources & Opportunities (scholarships, conferences, etc.), read more about our iconic E-Board, and find other general oSTEM links. The website is regularly updated, if you spot any issues or know of an R&O we haven’t included, our Feedback Form is always open!
