Queers Read This!

Hey ____! Hope you’re all keeping well this week amidst midterms, projects, finals, the pope’s death, and all the other clutter life is filling us with. Can you believe we’re literally just near the end? I know, it’s crazy and I’m sad to see us go (but don’t worry, we’ll be back soon enough!). Anyways, we have our final GMM this week, and voting for E-board, so please read on in this short quickie for more!

This Week

Our final GMM of the semester is coming up this Wednesday on April 23rd from 7-8pm in the Burgett Intercultural Center (BIC) on the 3rd floor of Douglass! We will be having lavender graduation, celebrating our seniors, and doing karaoke! Please stop by, it will be so fun and bittersweet! If you are graduating next year, either Fall or Spring, please fill out this form if you would still like to be recognized at Lavender Graduation (Link).

The BIC is hosting its iconic LGBTQ+ Leadership Lecture & Dinner on Thursday, April 24th at 6pm in the Feldman Ballroom and will be featuring Aaron C. Morris, a renowned LGBTQ activist and Executive Director of Immigration Equality. Registration is required and due by April 17th (so you still have time), and they will be serving free dinner from Salena’s Mexican Restaurant! If you’ve attended before, you’ll know the food is good and the speakers are inspiring and very insightful! Our previous eBoard has also had a history of helping to plan the event and we were known to have one of the highest turnouts of any student organization at the dinner, so we hope to continue that trend this semester!
