About Us

The purpose of the University of Rochester Women's Volleyball Club is to promote and develop the sport of volleyball among individuals at UR and to positively represent our school in collegiate club league tournaments. We will accomplish this aim by:

1. Providing a suitable atmosphere for all members to play volleyball.

We prepare all the space, equipment, drills, and ~vibes~ needed for a great volleyball environment!

2. Assisting all members interested in learning how to play the game of volleyball and working as a team to hone our skills and improve our gameplay.

3. Competing in volleyball matches/tournaments.

Our team is a member of the Northeast Women's Club Volleyball League (NWVCL) and compete in 3-4 tournaments each semester!

There are individuals in our campus community who seek to play volleyball on a competitive level and wish to compete in tournaments and competitions, those who seek an environment in which to develop and improve their playing skills and abilities, and those who seek an environment to play volleyball recreationally but don't want to join an intramural team.

Our organization provides a suitable environment and the appropriate resources for everyone interested. Our club provides members with the expertise (coach), space, and equipment to pursue volleyball at all levels of play..

Events & Activities

Our competitive team plays in 4 tournaments a semester, and we host bi-monthly open gyms open to all members of the campus community. We also plan social bonding events, such as our annual fall retreat, spa nights, and club lunches and dinners that all club members can participate in!

Exclusive Resources

Our team adopts an open member policy where any individual is welcome to join our club and attend our bi-monthly open gyms regardless of membership status or skill level!

Connnections

We foster many close friendships on this team, and we help encourage this by pairing older club members with newer club members in our Big-Little Mentorship Program!
