About our Organization

She's The First at the University of Rochester aims to advocate for equal education access around the world, specifically for girls in low income countries where they typically don't receive a quality education. We achieve this through both fundraising efforts, as well as events to raise awareness about the issue of poverty and education for women. This chapter is part of the larger national organization. In addition, our chapter promotes education locally, partnering with organizations in the Rochester community to offer students tutoring and mentorship, and we have biweekly discussion based meetings.
