The Pan African Students Association (PASA) at the University of Rochester aims to promote a greater understanding of African culture among all students, both African and non-African, regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, or religion.

All Students' Association members shall be eligible for membership. An SA Member is a University of Rochester undergraduate of the College who has paid their SA activities fee. All University of Rochester faculty, staff, graduate students and Eastman students shall be eligible for associate membership. All members and associate members shall be listed on the organization's CCC site. Membership is automatically renewed yearly unless the member graduates, requests to cancel their membership, or fails to meet membership requirements
We hold general Member meeting every Friday from 5:30PM to 6:30PM.
We have three big events during the Fall: A trip to Darien Lake , our annual party "Beats of Africa" and our Fall Showcase
During the Spring, we have the biggest of the year: "Afrikanza" preceded by Africa Week and the Rochester African Conference
PASA currently has two affiliate groups, PASApella and Axum.
PASApella is an acapella group that is open to all students at the University of Rochester. The group performs a variety of music genres originating from the African continent.
Axum is an East African dance group that is open to all students at the University of Rochester. The group performs traditional and modern dance forms inspired by East African culture.
