The purpose of the Eastman Students’ Association (SA) is to act as a liaison between the undergraduate students and the administration; to provide a support structure for student activities; to provide social activities to enhance and enrich student life; to promote the cultural, social, and physical well-being of undergraduates; to protect the academic and non-academic rights of students; to ensure quality educational standards, facilities, and teaching methods within the school; and to provide a forum for the expression of student views and interests.

Mission
The UR Pep Band is an ensemble composed of students from the UR River Campus and Eastman School who are dedicated to supporting student athletes and integrating music with athletics and student activities. We perform at home football and basketball games throughout the fall and winter. In addition, the pep band will appear at other campus events and perform at the request of various outside agencies throughout the greater Rochester metropolitan area.

Pep band is a great organization for musicians of all skill levels. What we lack in talent we make up for in enthusiasm. Our club offers a great opportunity to continue playing your instrument in a low pressure environment. We are a tight knit group of friends and we love meeting new people and gaining new members! We are also inclusive of all instruments, seriously. In addition to rehearsals and performances, our club also holds social events including movie nights, a super bowl party, and a "formal" in the spring.

Mission
This club allows students to play on an ice hockey team at the University of Rochester. With our school not having a varsity team, this organization will enable hockey-playing students to continue to play their sport at a competitive level in the Upstate New York Club Hockey League (UNYCHL). Hockey is a unique sport that is extremely popular in Western New York and the northeast, in general, so it makes sense for U of R to have a team that permits students to continue playing at a university level. The Genesee Valley Park Ice Arena, which is just across the bridge on Elmwood Avenue, also provides a convenient location for our team to play and store our equipment in a locker room.

While the Ice Hockey Club looks to put a talented group together for competitive UNYCHL games, we realize that it's merely a club sport and that grades come first. Members are excused from practice if they have academic conflicts and games only take place on weekends. On the ice, we will try to achieve excellence by winning. However, instilling leadership qualities, promoting teamwork, increasing communication ability among teammates and between members and our coach, and stressing diligence and discipline are of greater significance. Off the ice, members will have an opportunity to attain leadership, organizational, and communication skills by taking positions that mediate between the team and the coach, the UNYCHL, Student Activities, and UR admins. Our organization will also look to volunteer as a group, especially for the Genesee Valley Youth Hockey Club. In a simpler sense, the U of R Ice Hockey Club will allow members to add to team camaraderie and meet new friends.

Mission
The purpose of Student Activities Board shall be to provide varied and interesting entertainment for as many members of the University community as possible while aiding other campus organizations in their event planning process. Events shall include, but are not limited to speakers, musical performances, community weekend events, and other interactive activities. Factors for selecting these activities include, but are not limited to tradition, culture, community, and perceived enjoyment and value. While the Student Activites Board should collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni and other students, the target audience for all programming shall be River Campus undergraduates.

Membership Benefits
As SAB plans several carnivals, concerts, and activities our general members play a crucial part in the event planning and execution. Members will gather alongside the executive board at General Member Meetings to brainstorm ways to ensure we're delivering the best content to the student body. Members' feedback is helpful in improving our events in the future! Our events are also made possible with the help of members who volunteer at them.
