The mission and purpose of the club will be to serve, provide and enhance the personal and academic experience of participating students on campus. Active Minds is a national organization focused on raising mental health awareness, fighting mental health stigma, and inspiring positive change on college campuses. Our chapter works with UHS, UCC, and various student organizations and organizes campus-wide events aiming at educating the student body on issues of mental health, challenging stigmatizing beliefs, and providing a safe and positive environment for students to share their experiences. We also have a voice in conversations with college administration regarding the campus climate surrounding mental health and mental healthcare.

The Alzheimer's Association is a national organization dedicated to fighting Alzheimer’s disease. It is currently the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. They work on national and local levels to accelerate global research, spread awareness, fundraise, and fight for care initiatives. Our mission is to honor and represent these initiatives at the University of Rochester to our fellow yellowjackets.

The Asian American Alliance at the University of Rochester is committed to empowering APIA through political activism, community engagement, and social awareness. We strive for collaborative relationships with the Rochester community, activist groups, and other POC (person of color) groups. AAA will serve to provide a platform for the organization and expression of views and interests of Asian Pacific Islander American students at the University of Rochester.

Our goal is to tackle APIA issues from social and political perspectives while still encompassing the intricacies of diverse Asian backgrounds, with emphasis on the idea that there is no one single Asian-American experience, but a multitude. AAA seeks to be a place where people of all backgrounds can stand united to empower the APIA community.

Best Buddies International is an organization dedicated to ending social, physical, and economic isolation of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The organization works to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for meaningful and long-lasting one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with IDD. The Best Buddies chapter at the University of Rochester strives to create a more inclusive community by fostering valuable friendships between students of the University of Rochester and individuals of the IDD community.

Our mission is to define and discuss social problems, regulated by evidence and objectivity, recognizing that, in the pursuit of truth, all good faith parties are allies, political affiliation or party notwithstanding; to provide a setting for educative and productive discussion; to respect the rights of individuals party to such discussion; to host programs to the campus and greater Rochester community in furtherance of the principles supported by such discussions; and to connect our members with academic and political opportunities in accordance with such principles.
The club meets Tuesdays at 8PM in the Welles-Brown Room of Rush Rhees Library and is open to students of all majors and political affiliations. Expect at meetings to discuss national and international politics, hear from local politicians, and discuss important issues. In addition to weekly meetings, the club regularly hosts political events around campus as well as social events for club members.

Grassroots is the University of Rochester's premier environmental action and awareness group. We act to create a more sustainable future and to raise awareness of our collective and individual responsibilities as stewards of the earth and its natural environment.

Grassroots strives to make an impact both on and off campus. We seek to improve the Greater Rochester community both by direct action (ex. river clean ups, site remediation), as well as by supporting local initiatives. We work to improve our own campus through improving resource use, re-purposing space for gardens, managing recycling, supporting local foods, and increasing awareness.

Ongoing programs include a monthly Clothing Exchange, education about the campus recycling standard, our annual Earth Day celebration (including speakers, off campus trips, hands-on activities, and more), and various volunteer opportunities.

Grassroots encourages new ideas, values differing perspectives, and welcomes all levels of interest. Together we work to create a more sustainable campus, community, and nation.
