About Us

Chi Omega is an intergenerational women's organization committed to our founding purposes: friendship, personal integrity, service to others, academic excellence and intellectual pursuits, community and campus involvement and personal and career development. We are sisters inspired by our values who serve the world while keeping Chi Omega ever at heart.

Chi Omega is working at the national level to refine our membership policies in defining eligibility to join based on gender. We understand this is a complex issue that affects all of our members and prospective members deeply and personally. As such, our organization wants to be sure we are doing our due diligence to ensure our final policy is thoughtful and respectful both to our initiated members and to individuals seeking membership in Chi Omega. Please reach out to our organization if you have questions about your ability to join Chi Omega – we are happy to speak with you!

Six Purposes

The message of “personal responsibility” cannot be shared enough. Each member’s choices and actions affect the entire chapter and our national organization. By embracing Chi Omega’s six purposes and placing our values at the root of our words, thoughts, and actions, we are able to truly enjoy one another as Sisters and as friends.

Friendship

Chi Omega is made up of women who share similar values, helping to foster friendships for a lifetime.

Personal Integrity

Chi Omegas are people of integrity, who treat themselves and others with respect.

Service to Others

Our members are committed to community service and philanthropy, and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

Academic Excellence and Intellectual Pursuits

Chi Omega promotes scholarship and lifelong learning among our members. Further, we are proud that over half of our chapters are ranked #1 or #2 on their campus in scholarship.

Community and Campus Involvement

Our members are passionate about leadership and involvement on their campus and in their community.

Personal and Career Development

Chi Omega has a worldwide network of over 411,000 initiated Sisters that members can utilize in career networking and personal development initiatives.
