NEW University wide event Approval Process for all virtual, hybrid, on-person events, and activities sponsored by the University of Rochester & Simon Business School

Level 1 – Student Organizations will complete the Virtual, Hybrid, & In-Person Event, Activity, or Program Proposal Form. The advisor will do an initial review of the proposal and move forward if meets basic event guidelines. If basic virtual event, will be approved and continue on to completion of the event registration process. If event is hybrid or in-person then it goes to next level.

Level 2 – COVID Event Registration Committee will discuss event and determine if it should move forward for approval. Committee will review all appropriate resources (space, finances, social distancing, etc). If submitted event is approved, and a similar event has received prior approval, it will continue on to completion of the event registration process. If it is a new event it goes to level three.

Level 3 – Chair will submit the event to appropriate cabinet level representative from particular school for approval.

Level 4 – Once approval is granted the proposal will continue on to completion of the event registration process and their advisor will work closely to make sure all proper protocols are followed.
