The Class Council is elected annually, has 8 members, each of whom have designated roles (President, Vice President, Secratorian, Business Manager, Publicity Chair and 3 Programming Chairs).

Mission
Active Minds is a national organization focused on raising mental health awareness, fighting mental health stigma, and inspiring positive change on college campuses. Our chapter works with UHS, UCC, and various student organizations and organizes campus-wide events aiming at educating the student body on issues of mental health, challenging stigmatizing beliefs, and providing a safe and positive environment for students to share their experiences. We also have a voice in conversations with college administration regarding the campus climate surrounding mental health and mental healthcare.

We are a group of talented, creative and passionate musicians from all backgrounds who come together to make vibrant and memorable a cappella music. We work together to arrange and choreograph for one show each semester as well as many gigs around campus and within the Rochester community.

We are a multi-campus, multi-ethnic Christian fellowship with large group meetings every Friday night, weekly prayer meetings, small group Bible studies throughout the week, and community service opportunities throughout the year. Additionally, members are taught how to become community leaders by giving them the tools to encourage their peers to give back to their community. APO offers a tight-knit group that encourages friendship through fellowships and families, allowing individuals to become close with all of their brothers in various settings. The Asian American Alliance at the University of Rochester is committed to empowering APIA through political activism, community engagement, and social awareness. We strive for collaborative relationships with the Rochester community, activist groups, and other POC (person of color) groups. AAA will serve to provide a platform for the organization and expression of views and interests of Asian Pacific Islander American students at the University of Rochester.

Our goal is to tackle APIA issues from social and political perspectives while still encompassing the intricacies of diverse Asian backgrounds, with emphasis on the idea that there is no one single Asian-American experience, but a multitude. The Astronomy Club is designed for anyone with an interest in astronomy, be it observational astronomy, or just a desire to ponder the big questions of the cosmos. The club aims to make good use of university facilities such as the Mees Observatory to give everyone an opportunity to experience the night sky in a new way. The club also utilizes its own array of telescopes on campus and promotes naked eye stargazing.

WHO WE ARE

The UR Baja SAE team is a student-run, non-profit organization which designs, fabricates, tests,
and competes with a single-seater off-road vehicle. From mechanical and biomedical engineering
to optics and business majors, our numbers include anyone who is interested in learning design!
Whether you have built a car from scratch or have never touched a wrench in your life, we will
utilize any your experience and will teach you designing, manufacturing, and testing methods.

We work part of the summer and throughout the school year designing, manufacturing and
testing our car in preparation for national competitions held across the United States. Design is a
huge component of what we do. Our team offers students a hands-on approach to engineering as
it provides a practical application of classroom-based learning.
Using everything from angle grinders to lathes, we manufacture a majority of the Baja car
ourselves each year.

The Ballet Performance Group at University of Rochester aims to provide an outlet for individuals who seek to learn and perform all styles of dance while encouraging an awareness and appreciation of classical ballet. Our group's foremost goal is to keep ballet technique alive on campus by using it as a foundation for all of the styles we perform. We welcome all levels of experience and offer dances that challenge and enhance the diverse abilities of our members. Every year, we put together two shows composed of classical ballet and student-choreographed pieces. We also perform as guest groups in other University venues. As a member of BPG, you choose the number of dances you wish to participate in; one dance corresponds to one hour of practice per week. Based on your academic and extra-curricular schedule, you can be as involved as you would like!
