Hii, I hope everyone's doing really well! We wanted to thank everyone who came to our GMM last night, we were so excited! If you were not able to be there, no worries! We got you ;) 
This email is going to be a little bit longer than usual, but I promise it will be absolutely worth it! We have many exciting updates and a super cool upcoming volunteering opportunity. 😎

Here's what we discussed during last night's GMM:

• From now on, our General Member Meetings (GMMs) will take place on Sundays from 7-8 pm. The location is still TBD but we'll keep you guys posted! Special note: there will be no GMM this week (October 13th) because of Fall Break.
• CRANES has officially started working with Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club Rochester! Cancer Support Community at Gilda's Club uplifts and strengthens people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care. We're going to be volunteering at this cancer support community organizing fun activities for their members and helping out at their events. We couldn't be more excited! 
• The very first event we will be volunteering for at Gilda's Club is an event called Trunk or Treat and it will be taking place next Saturday, October 19th from 1-4pm. This will be a Halloween-themed event for children that have been impacted by cancer, whether they have/had cancer or a family member has/had cancer. We will be in charge of organizing the games and crafts. Volunteers have to fill out some quick paperwork prior to participating in this event, including a background check. This is super super important! and it has to be submitted by the end of tomorrow, October 8th. I know it's a short notice, and we're sorry about that 🥹, but the form should't take long! If you want to come volunteer for this event, please fill out the three documents attached to this email, and send them to aduarte4@u.rochester.edu
• An important update that we just received and wasn't mentioned during the GMM: volunteers for the Trunk or Treat are invited to wear a costume for the event! (highly encouraged)—not something too scary ofc 😅
• We also have an upcomig Gift of Life MEGA drive in co-sponsorship with Alpha Epsilon Pi and it will take place on October 20th, from 10am - 6pm! If you'd like to volunteer at this drive, please sign up for shift using the Google Spreadsheet. 
• Remember that our E-board Applications are still open! They will close on October 12th. You can apply using this form, and these are the available positions:
  • Events Chair
  • Social Media Manager
  • Business Manager
  • General Member Representative
  • Secretary
