Hello everyone!

I want to welcome the new members and welcome back the old ones!
If you already attended a few sessions last year and you already read my previous email, there isn't much to say: come today at our first GIM and training session, from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm to the Leibner Cooper Room in the GAC! Bring a bottle of water, a towel, and some friends, and get ready for some nice workout!

If you are a new member and/or didn't read (or received) my email, here is what you need to know.

As our name suggests, we are a fitness club, and we practice calisthenics: we train using exclusively our bodies' weight and occasionally a pull-up bar. The idea of this discipline is to train with minimum or no equipment so that you can exercise anywhere, at any time.

We meet twice a week (Monday 7:30pm-8:30pm and Friday 6:00pm-7:00pm) for a training session, led by our trainers, experienced students and/or qualified instructors, who are going to teach you how to do specific exercises and how to gradually increase the difficulty as your strength grows.
Every exercise we propose can be performed at very different difficulties, according to one's strength, skills, and goals, which leads us to one of the most important features of our training sessions: they suit everyone, from the most inexperienced beginner to the toughest gym veteran, and the training can be adapted to whatever your goal is!
Are you a beginner, and want to become stronger? Our trainers can show you the basic exercises and, once you master them, how to make them harder. Do you already work out on your own? You can join another group of people with similar interests, and our work out is likely going to be different from what you usually do, so it will be a pleasant break in your routine.
The same obviously applies if you're just looking for a way to stay in shape!

So, are you interested in working out
Join us for our first general interest meeting tonight (Monday 2nd), from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, at the Leibner Cooper Room in the GAC. This is the first room to the left after the helpdesk in the Goergen Athletic Center. We are going to explain how the club works more in detail, answer your questions, and listen to your suggestions.
However, as I always say, we take fitness very seriously here, so most of the GIM will be dedicated to an actual training session so that you can get a feel for what our club is like.
If you can't come to this meeting, we will have another one on Friday; I will send a reminder in a couple of days.

So bring a towel, a bottle of water, and some friends, and get ready to maintain or get that summer body: at Meliora Fitness, summer is always coming!
