ART EXHIBITION

For this year's Art Exhbition we are displaying images reflecting daily life on the African continent through the lens of young African photographers. Aligned with PASA’s purpose of promoting a greater understanding of the African continent, this exhibition displays ownership of our heritage, our art, our ‘Sanaa’. Africa has historically been depicted, interpreted and labeled from perspectives very different from those who actually call it home. This exhibition will reflect our home from the eyes of the lives that inhabit it.

Join us as we appreciate the beauty of our continent and the work of our talented brothers and sisters.

Place : Havens Lounge
Time: 2pm-4pm
Date: Saturday, November 2nd

UR WOMANIST CLUB: GETTING BACK TO OUR ROOTS

The UR Womanist Club invited us to their Fall Speaker Event: Getting Back to Our Roots. The event will be on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:15-7:45pm in Morey 321.

This year, they will be having Tanya Bakhmetyeva as a speaker. She is an Associate Professor of Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies at the University of Rochester and will be speaking about one of her classes, Politics of Nature, in which they'll be focusing on the relationship between gender, race, and environment and the effects they have on one another.
