AFRIKANZA PLANNING COMMITEE

As we discussed during our community meeting, an Afrikanza planning commitee with one member from each class year will be formed  (excluding e-board members) in order to help plan our th Anniversary. Please use this link to nominate someone from your class year to represent you.

ROCHESTER AFRICAN CONFERENCE

As we are planning for the Rochester African Conference, let us know if you would like to join the commitee by emailing Zagadou Oyotode at zoyotode@u.rochester.edu by December 10th.
We also would like your input to decide on what kind of speakers you would like to see so please fill out this form with the name of a speaker( it could be an alumni).

 

THANKSGIVING DINNER

Thanks to all of you who expressed interest in the Thansgiving dinner. It will be on Saturday and we will be reaching out to you via email for more details.

PASA COMMUNITY MEETING

We thank all of you who made it to our meeting and shared your point of view. Attached are the minutes from the meeting for those who could not make it. 

KWANZAA

Kwanzaa is a weeklong celebration held in the United States honoring universal African heritage and culture. The Black Students’ Union holds a Kwanzaa dinner to serve traditional African/African-American food and to celebrate this historical tradition. There will be great performances by various student groups on campus, and fellowship (candle light ceremony and libations).

This event will be taking place Saturday, December 7, 2019 in Feldman Ballroom from 6-8pm

Ticket are sold at the Common Market for $6.
