Step into a vibrant celebration of Caribbean diversity as we explore the many facets that make our culture a living kaleidoscope. Join the Student Organization for Caribbean Awareness (SOCA) for our signature spring event, where each cultural reflection creates a stunning mosaic of heritage and identity.
This year, we are honored to celebrate the work of contemporary artist Andrea Chung, whose powerful artistry captures the intricate patterns of Caribbean history - illuminating the often-overlooked stories of Indigenous peoples, Asian indentured servants, African descendants, and migrants from Europe and the Middle East who have all contributed to our rich cultural tapestry.
The evening will feature elegant dining, captivating live performances by campus groups, and meaningful connections between alumni, faculty, and students. Together, we'll recognize the vibrant contributions of our community members while celebrating the kaleidoscopic nature of Caribbean identity.
This formal dinner event welcomes all members of our university community to join in this celebration of cultural heritage, artistic expression, and shared community.
