Sick of the lecture halls? How about science at a bar? Et al. is a new science talk series hosted by two University of Rochester PhD students, Azmeer and Alice and supported by UR Thinkers. At Et al., we will explore what makes each scientist unique and how their personal interests outside of lab play in their research program. The scientist will also give a quick presentation on their research and open the floor for an engaging discussion that may influence their research! Our goal is ultimately to make science more accessible to the public.

We will fundraise for C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association throughout the night and the entire 2026 series. At the end of the talk and open discussion, we are having a mingling and dance social called Balla Bella with a local music currator. Open to everyone. We hope to see you there!!!
