About Us
The University of Rochester Special Olympics Club aims to foster meaningful relationships between the University of Rochester Students and athletes in the Greater Rochester area with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various sporting events. We come together to create a competitive, yet supportive atmosphere that will create bonds that last a lifetime. In turn, we push to advocate for inclusion, awareness, and a diverse community on our campus. We also work with the TOUR (Transition Opportunities at UofR) students in a program called URConnected, where we participate with students for one hour, twice a week, in various activities such as playing the basketball game HORSE or simply walking the track.
