This week, we have (as usual) a board games meeting on Monday, 7-11 pm in Douglass 401 and a trading card games (TCGs) meeting on Thursday, 7-11 pm in Wilco 122 (yes, actually in Wilco 122 this time; my apologies for last week's last-minute Mel Weekend relocation). This coming weekend, we'll have October One-Shots Night, Saturday 10/5 in Douglass 401, with two rounds of single-session RPG adventures: 3 pm and 7pm. You can be a player or a GM in a variety of RPG systems, including (but not limited to) D&D 5e. Beginners are welcome. Please fill out this form if you wish to attend.
Now, announcements. First, are you a first-year who wants to become more involved with URSGA? Run for Office Manager, a first-year-only eboard position whose responsibilities include maintaining URSGA's games collection! The 2024-25 Office Manager will be elected on Monday, 10/7 during the board games meeting. You can nominate yourself (or someone else) using this form, which closes tomorrow, 9/30, at the end of the day. Second, URSGA will be buying new board games soon! You can use this form to suggest which games we should buy, then vote on our game purchase(s) during this Monday's board games meeting.

Fun Fact: the game Carcassonne is named after a city in the South of France. The blue-topped towers and red rooves of the game's cities bear a strong resemblence to the medieval fortress at the heart of its namesake.
