The Black Student Athletic Coalition’s (B.S.A.C) purpose is to advocate for and support black student-athletes academically, mentally, and socially. Our goal is to establish a safe space for Black athletes on the University of Rochester (UofR) campus. Additionally, we seek to ensure athletic staff and all student-athletes are trained in cultural awareness to create a safe and collaborative environment for all. The Black Student Athletic Coalition aims to foster a relationship with the greater Rochester area, emphasizing the city of Rochester. The everlasting goal is to provide for Black student-athletes to be successful athletically and academically at the institution.

Mission
The Committee for Political Engagement (CPE), a Center For Community Engagement (CCE) initiative, is a non-partisan, student-led organization that promotes engagement in the civic process and domestic and international politics. CPE provides the University community with opportunities for voter registration, issue education, conferences, and more. In coordinating these efforts, CPE works closely with College Democrats and College Republicans, as well as other campus organizations.

The UR FOOT Advisory Board assists in planning, managing, and executing the University's First-Year Orientation Outing Treks (UR FOOT) program for incoming first-year students. The UR FOOT program's primary goal is to help new students adjust to college and meet fellow classmates by providing engaging, small-group trek opportunities. This advisory board, managed by the Office of Orientation and First-Year Programs, works to develop and run activities and treks. Through this goal, we provide a safe, enjoyable, and impactful experience for first-year students.

The Minority Male Leadership Association (MMLA) is proud to be an Office of Minority Student Affairs Departmental Student Group at the University of Rochester. Our mission, “We, the Minority Male Leadership Association, are dedicated to exploring the characteristics of successful minority male leaders. We will build a community of young driven minority men focused on success by providing mentorship and promoting excellence.” One of our primary goals is to connect with the Rochester community as a whole to help improve the plight of young minority men, who are graduating from the Rochester City School District at only 9%.

The University of Rochester River Campus Medical Emergency Response Team is committed to providing quality care to the University community. MERT works together with the Department of Public Safety to respond to medical emergencies on the River Campus. MERT works with University Health Services to ensure that all members are highly trained and providing high quality care as well as having the proper equipment to respond to medical emergencies.

URBCC is an Advisory Board whose purpose is to carry out the Xerces Society’s requirements for maintaining the Bee Campus USA designation at the University of Rochester. These requirements (listed at https://beecityusa.org/bee-campus-usa-commitments/) all aim towards advocating for the protection of pollinators. URBCC seeks to enact pollinator conservation on the University of Rochester campus to the best of our ability, engaging and educating the community with open access to information about the importance of pollinators to our temperate eastern deciduous forest ecosystem. URBCC will employ topics of sustainability in order to make the University of Rochester a pollinator safe-haven, ranging from including and educating the local community on-campus and off-campus in pollinator conservation, to utilizing native plants in grounds landscaping.

The Varsity Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (VSAAC) empowers student-athletes to make a meaningful impact both on and off-campus by promoting and facilitating community outreach programs through volunteer opportunities. VSAAC represents the student-athlete voice in Division III governance by reviewing legislation, addressing significant student-athlete issues, implementing national initiatives, and fostering a deeper understanding of Division III while enhancing the overall student-athlete experience.
