Move-Out Clean Out (MOCO)

The annual Move-Out Cleanout will run from April 28 to May 20, 2025, offering students an easy way to donate unwanted items during spring move-out. Large blue Goodwill bins for clothing and shoes will be located outside each residence hall. Collection barrels for unopened, non-perishable food and new toiletries will be in the main entryways of residential buildings, with Fraternity Quad residents dropping items at Sigma Epsilon House. Data-storing electronics can be brought to the UR Tech Store in Rush Rhees Library, while other labeled electronics (“Recycle”) should go to Sage Art Center. Sponsored by University Facilities and Services, the program partners with the UR Food Pantry, Mt. Hope Family Center, Open Door Mission, and Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. Important to note that the flyer includes information for Dump and Run as well, which is organized by the Grassroots Club and only advertised (but not organized) by the Sustainability Office. The SO office is organizing Move-Out Clean Out specifically.
