Tau Beta Pi

The Engineering Honors Society

Welcome to the University of Rochester Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society website! UR is home to the New York Kappa chapter of Tau Beta Pi.

Tau Beta Pi was founded in 1885 to mark in a fitting manner those who have conferred honor upon their alma mater by distinguished scholarship and exemplary character as undergraduates in the field of engineering, or by their attainments as alumni in the field of engineering, and to foster a spirit of liberal culture in the engineering colleges.

UR's collegiate chapter is currently active within the school and community. Throughout the academic year numerous activities are held including community service, social events, corporate information sessions, and study sessions to help other engineering students succeed.
