About Us

We are a SACNAS student chapter dedicated to fostering the success of Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists from college students to professionals to attain advanced degrees, career, and positions of leadership. We are committed to giving back through mentorship and peer networks. Our overall goal is to create a nurturing environment in which all members of the chapter can grow together by helping each other and working together towards acquiring the right tools and resources that will advance our development and increase the success of our scientific careers.

Members Benefits

We want to be able to give young inspiring students the necessary mentorship and tutoring opportunities for them to succeed in STEM. We will facilitate the access of undergraduates to research experiences by introducing them to labs or groups of their interest.  We want to develop tutoring opportunities to assist undergraduate students in STEM courses that are part of their curriculum. You will be part of social events, movie nights and game nights that will promote the development of support networks and camaraderie between members of the chapter.
