After teaching mathematics, statistics, and programming for 14 years and then moving into healthcare IT at the Wilmot Cancer Institute, Dr. Lisa Smith, would like to share her knowledge with you and create a roadmap on how to leverage your STEM education to succeed in healthcare IT!

Join SUMS and SUBS this Wednesday at 6:30pm for an interactive talk on how a knowledge of mathematics and problem solving skills are applicable to, and desperately needed by, several areas of healthcare IT! Dr. Smith will be sharing specific skills and areas of knowledge students interested in healthcare should add learn to maximize their potential, giving a realistic look at careers that you may not even considered as being related to your degree, and providing concrete ways in which to move forward in your academic and professional career.
