Flyer for UR Creative II
UR Creative is a university-wide expo for students who create and innovate. URC aims to invigorate inter-organizational and student collaboration and sustain student creativity. Hosted by various student organizations in collaboration with the Greene Center, URC II will feature a keynote speech, a gallery exhibition and stage presentation of multidisciplinary student creations, and a round table networking session.

Join us Thursday, October 16th, at 6:30 PM in the Feldman Ballroom! Doors for gallery exhibition at 6:00 PM. Refreshments and snacks provided.

Dr. Stephen Roessner is a Grammy-winning engineer and Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester. He has engineered or performed on over 350 recordings in his 25-year career as an audio engineer and musician. Dr. Roessner has also toured the world as a musician, performing for thousands of people in over 15 countries.



Dr. Roessner received his PhD and Masters from the University of Rochester in Electrical Engineering, and holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Performance and Sound Recording Technology from SUNY Fredonia. His research interests include Big Data Analysis of Billboard Top 40 Music, Characteristics of Reverb in Unusual Spaces, Ethics of Artificial Intelligence in Creative Fields, and Audio Engineering Education.



Roessner also has experience in podcast production, video editing, scoring for film/TV, and is proficient on a multitude of instruments. In the technical space, he actively consults clients on acoustic problems, noise removal from audio, and is involved with research in audio perception and acoustics at the Universiy of Rochester. 



Dr. Roessner is currently a voting member of the Recording Academy Producers and Engineers Wing, Acoustical Society of America, Audio Engineering Society, and the American Society for Engineering Education.
