Details

This event will explore the ethical challenges that arise in hospice and end-of-life care. A hospice professional will introduce the role of hospice and palliative care and discuss how ethical decision-making shapes patient care, family communication, and medical responsibility. Through real-world examples and guided discussion, students will have the opportunity to think through complex situations involving patient autonomy, family dynamics, cultural values, and difficult medical decisions. The event will conclude with an open conversation where students can ask questions about ethical dilemmas in practice, the emotional realities of end-of-life care, and career paths in this field.
