Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated was founded on November 21, 1981 on the campus of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey by five women who sought the need to create an organization regardless of ones race, religion, culture, and class. As a result, Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated became the first Multicultural sorority in the nation that values the importance of diversity. Our sorority embraces multicultural ideals and interests, which is used as a tool to bring forth awareness on the issues of diversity. Sisters are also diverse in term of religious beliefs, political standpoints, sexual orientation, nationality, and much more. Moreover, academic achievement, union of all women, and making a difference in communities and universities are the other goals that our sorority strives for. Our organization is also actively involved and dedicated into helping charitable organizations as well. The Dauntless Dianaia Chapter of Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Incorporated has been approved for recognition at the University of Rochester, starting in Spring 2018.
