As-Salamu 'Alaykum!
At this point in time, I can only hope you guys are not annoyed by my emails. If it helps, I had a paper due last night, with no time to study for the test I had today. Of course, I could have gone differently with a prior study plan. BUT! Regardless of how you're feeling, I sincerely hope this email finds you well, especially amidst the exhausting mid-term season.
Fast-a-Thon Tickets Deadline
First off! We are taking head count for fastathon catering by tomorrow, Feb. 27th, 2025 @ 5pm. Tickets will still be open leading upto to the event, but if your head does not get counted in the catering order, there is a possibility that you will be eating someone else's iftar (food).
❗Plese note❗The fastathon dinner will be replacing the 2nd community iftar and therefore, there will be no community iftar at the chapel this Sunday. If you are not coming to fastathon, please do take a look at our welcome gathering powerpoint for information on university dining information
Get your tickets ASAP through this link. Remember that the event is open to all communtiies - whether you are a muslim or not. So, do not be afraid to tag a friend a long to share a precious and valuable exaperience.
Again, due to administrative mix up, tickets are not being sold at the common market. Also due to university admin, graduate students will be charged the same price as a community member. We're really sorry for the inconvinience.
Please, do remember to wear formal or ethnic (highly encouraged).
❗Additionally❗
We need volunteers to help set-up for fastathon. We will be doing it in shifts as we did last year. Therefore, if you sign up to volunteer, it does not mean that you will be volunteering for the whole day (unless of course, you sign up for all shifts).
If you are free any time on Sunday and can spare us some precious moments to make this Fastathon a dream come true, please do fill out this form by Friday, February 28th, 2025.
