About HEAL

The mission of Health Education and Advocacy Leaders is to provide health information and care to low-income members of the greater Rochester community. Our goal is to deliver health resources and support to our community by volunteering at health-focused charities and staffing information booths at soup kitchens, at which students provide information about low cost healthcare services, free blood pressure and BMI readings, and a non-judgmental environment for health issue discussion. Overall, we hope to increase student activism regarding public health issues affecting the Rochester community as well as assist community members with addressing these issues.
