Calling all sustainability leaders! GreenSpace and CIF are hosting an exciting event this month:

On Friday, November 18th from 3:30-5:00pm in Gowen Room, we are hosting "Constructing our Future: A Symposium on Sustainable Technologies". In this Ted-X style event, 5-6 students will give a 10 minute presentation discussing a novel technical solution to a major environmental issue and analyzing its opportunities and drawbacks. Here are some examples of presentation topics:

  • Fighting food waste with automatic composters
              
  • Predicting sea level rise with computer modeling

And many more—the sky is the limit! Speakers have the opportunity to gain public speaking experience, while sharing their valuable ideas with the university community. If you would like to become a speaker, please fill out this form by Saturday, November 12th at 11:59pm. Otherwise, all are invited to listen to passionate student leaders' talks!
 
Additionally, Dining Team Green is holding a Zero-Waste Picnic Brunch in the Hirst Lounge on November 20th at 12pm. This picnic aims to raise awareness about zero-waste and sustainable dining.
