Join the Greene Center for part 5 in our 5-part series dedicated to supporting students' job searches. In this fifth session, you’ll learn about offer negotiation, the breadth of areas where negotiation strategies can be used, and discover tools for how to benchmark salary expectations. Through a brief presentation and peer-to-peer discussions, you will be ready to hit the ground running in your job search.

Key takeaways-
- Learn how to research current compensation rates for the role, industry, location, and level of experience you are considering
- Understand how to read through a compensation package and identify opportunities for negotiations beyond starting salary (start date, relocation stipend, signing bonus, etc)
- Practice how to approach a negotiation conversation with a prospective and current employer

You can attend as few or as many sessions in this series as you want. If you miss a session, it does not mean you can not participate in a different session this Spring. We will offer each part of our 5-part series twice this Spring.

Please note: If you or an event participant requires disability-related accommodations, please contact Scott Sheehan (ssheeha4@ur.rochester.edu) as soon as possible, ideally at least 3-5 business days in advance of the event. Thank you.
