About Us
Over the past few years, Rochester Bhangra has established itself as a respected collegiate team, and we are known across the circuit for our unique style, as well as our unparalleled diversity. We aim to share and represent the culture and heart of Punjab through the camaraderie of our team, and strive to inspire everyone we perform for. We have competed across North America from Vancouver to Washington, D.C., and are committed to the continual rise of our team on the Bhangra circuit, facing our challenges and our competitors with grace and pride as we strive to dance purer, go harder, and be stronger. We are dedicated to excellence, but at the end of the day, we simply love to dance! Whether we are competing on stage, performing on the dance floor, or sweating in practice, we strive to reflect Punjabi culture and the foundations of Bhangra, and to have fun! Our alumni have gone on to dance for some of the best teams on the ciruit, from Shaan Mutiyaaran Di (SMD) and First Class Bhangra (FCB), to Anakh E Gabroo (AEG) and Duniya De Rang (DDR), and many more.
