We are hosting a guest speaker event, where we invite Asian American feminist blogger Jenn Fang to campus. She will be speaking on issues surrounding performative activism and being able to translate social media presence into activism that directly impacts our community, which is especially relevant among our generation, where online social activism has exploded. The conversation will also touch upon many different intersections of identity, including race and ethnicity. The event will feature a moderated discussion, followed by an open Q&A session.
