Carolina Hausmann-Stabile, an assistant professor of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr, will be discussing the ethics of medical technology applications with respect to physical and mental health outcomes among the Latino population through her past research studies. Her main focus is on analyzing the prevention and treatment of pediatric suicidal behaviors in the United States and Latin America. It is an important topic to address since vulnerable demographics are most impacted by our healthcare system actions and a topic of technology that our community as a whole could benefit from being more aware of and its ramifications in this specific context.
