Ethics in Technology Panel

This panel features guest speakers: Jonathan Herington & Jens Kipper - Professors from Department of Philosophy, Emily Sherwood - Director at Studio X, Erika Ramsdale - URMC Associate Professor Department of Medicine, Heather Reyes - URMC Associate Professor Department of Pediatrics). The event is scheduled to be held November 11th 2:30-3:30PM at the Learning Hub/Salon (main space) in Studio X.

The general theme of the event is centered on discussing the positive or negative implications of ethics in current technological devices, systems, and processes, problems this creates, and how we can assess these applications in a more ethically-conscious way. Each speaker will underscore a specific facet of ethics they've observed in their everyday work or highlight significant findings from their research.
