Mission
The University of Rochester Title IX Office is committed to fostering a culture of prevention and awareness to end sexual violence, cultivate relationship respect, and create consent culture through education.

Title IX is a federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex—including pregnancy and related conditions—in educational programs and activities. This can include sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking in any educational, athletic, or other program or activity of a federally funded school, that jeopardizes a person's equal access to education.
