Mission RIA was formed, in the spring of 2007. It is intended to serve as a platform for general socialmingling and interpersonal interactions among students of Indian origin in the University ofRochester. RIA aims to foster our cultural bindings and encourage oneness on this campus bycreating an ensemble of all graduate, post-doctoral and under-graduate students as a well knitcommunity. For this purpose, RIA handles various affairs of a social nature such as DiwaliDhamaka, Holi Night, Independence Day celebrations and many more.In addition, we do our best to ensure a smooth transition in the lives of all Indian newcomerswho join us every year and become a part of our small community in this beautiful city ofRochester.But most important of all we try our best to make our time spent in Rochester as a myriadcollection of memories worth cherishing for the rest of our lives.We invite all Indian students to become a part of this effort. Your suggestions will always beheard with utmost attention.
