We are actively looking for new members to join our executive committee to help steering the Postdoctoral Association. Engaging in the PDA executive committee is a great way to meet new people, gain leadership skills, and make professional connections.
Positions and some of their responsibilities:
Co-Chair: primary PDA contact and representative, oversee all PDA affairs, lead PDA meetings, attend meetings with University leadership
Communications Officer: maintain PDA email account and mailing lists, draft and send out emails/announcements, prepare event advertisement
Career Officer: identify career development opportunities for postdocs, plan and organize career workshops/talks, reach out to speakers, contact between PDA and myHub, collaborate with other groups
Social Media Officer: maintain PDA website and social media accounts, content creation
International Officer: identify issues relevant to international postdocs, contact between PDA and ISO
Event Coordinator: plan and organize social events, draft event proposals and set up event registration, coordinate with GEPA booking and reservations
We are also looking for a SMD postdoc in basic science as representative in the Faculty Professionalism Council to attend a monthly 90 min meeting every 2nd Thursday.
