UR PDA Career Enhancement Award 2021
The annual Career Enhancement Award was created to support the professional development of postdocs as part of the UR PDA’s mission. The award winners of 2021 were:
Daniel McDonald (AS&E, Humanities Center)
Travel award for the 2022 American Historical Association Meeting in New Orleans. Daniel helped organize the panel “Migrant Citizenships in the Americas” for this meeting and will present his own research in this field.
So Young Choe (SMD, Center for the Study and Prevention of Suicide)
For her training in the statistical method of multilevel modeling. So Young will use the skills she learned to analyze suicide data from Latinx populations and Asian American families in order to develop culturally sensitive intervention programs for these understudied at risk groups.
UR PDA NPAW Postdoc Showcase 2021
During National Postdoc Appreciation Week in September 2021, the PDA hosted a Postdoc Showcase, where eight UR postdocs presented their research at a poster presentation. The following presentations won poster prizes:

3. Price: Aileen Aldalur, "Deaf Attitudes, Subjective Norms, and Perceived Behavioral Control Regarding Treatment for Alcohol Use Disorder"
Audience Choice: Duncan Bossion, "Non-Adiabatic Ring Polymer Molecular Dynamics with Spin Mapping variables: A Novel Method to Study Non-Adiabatic Dynamics"
