Thank you for your interest in the Rising Leader Course. This course is meant to help you develop your own leadership style by exploring your own college transition process and learning how intentional experiences can support your goals.

This course is the priemere leadership development class for first-years. It meets the criteria for the first level of the Medallion Program, a three-tiered self-paced leadership program. Your application to the course also automatically enrolls you into the Medallion Program, for more information about the program visit here. 

Applications are due Sunday, August 11th at 11:55pm EDT.

The Rising Leader Course is a 2-credited class. There are two sections of the course on Fridays 1) noon-2pm and 2) 2:30-4:30pm. There may be a third section added on Mondays from 1-3pm if we have a large number of student applicants. There will also be one Saturday reserved for a Conference Day. The Rising Leader Class fullils Level 1 of the Medallion Leadership Program. The program has three levels, is self-paced, and if open to all majors. Students will attend 12 interactive workshops, write reflections on those, take on a leadership role, and ultimately fulfill a special project or course where they are identifying a community need and working towards resolution or awareness of that need. Students then join the Medallion Leadership Society where they can lead workshops, talk about their projects with Deans, and help other students along their leadership journeys.

Wether you are accpeted into the course or not, you will need to fill out the Enrollment Form in order to be able to participate in the program.
