Come join this collaborative program this spring! The Body Project is an evidenced-based body acceptance program offered in a group setting that provides a safe space for all women to confront and challenge unrealistic appearance ideals through group discussion and interactive activities. The program seeks to give participants knowledge in developing a healthier body image and self-esteem. In numerous research studies, it has repeatedly been shown to effectively reduce body dissatisfaction and internalization of the appearance ideal. Open to all women who are undergraduate and graduate students. This course focuses more on topics regarding societal ideals of femme-presenting bodies than on topics related to gender identity and expression.

Facilitators are from multidisciplinary backgrounds working on this project with the Division Adolescent Medicine at University of Rochester Medical Center.

*Attendance is strongly encouraged for all 4 sessions. If you attend all 4 sessions, you will be entered into win a copy of the journal, The Body Positive Journal by Virgie Tovar and Lucila Perini!
