Loco Moco is considered one of the most popular dishes in Hawaii, with its origins dating back to 1949 in Hilo, Hawaii. It is a comfort food that’s beloved by all generations.
While there are many variations of it, it is usually white rice topped with a hamburger patty, a fried egg, and gravy. The name came from "Loco" which means "crazy" in Portuguese, and Moco rhymed with Moco, hence Loco Moco. The dish embodies the days where teenagers looked for an affordable and filling meal for breakfast.
Come join us and make Loco Moco :)
