The Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center is excited to announce Hollywood actor, screenwriter, and director Peter Paige as this semester's Lorri L. Jean and Darrel Cummings LGBTQ Leadership Lecture speaker. Come listen to Paige talk about his work on shows such as Queer As Folk, The Fosters, and The Thing About Harry while enjoying a delicious meal catered by Salena's Mexican Restaurant. This event is open to the Rochester community.

Peter Paige

Hollywood Actor/Screenwriter/Director

Peter Paige began his career in Hollywood as an actor, guest starring in sitcoms and procedurals before eventually landing one of the leads in Showtime's acclaimed hit Queer As Folk. Since transitioning to writing/directing, Paige has co-created the long-running shows The Fosters and Good Trouble, as well as pilots for everyone from ABC to Netflix. As a filmmaker, he has directed three award-winning features - Say Uncle, Leaving Barstow, and The Thing About Harry (which has a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes). Most recently, Paige served as co-showrunner for ABC/Shondaland's Station 19, and is currently developing projects for Disney+ and Hulu.
