The University of Rochester YellowJackets are the oldest all-male A Cappella group on the U of R campus. Formed as a sect of the men's glee club in 1956, the YellowJackets have been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. Bearing the name of the University's mascot, the YellowJackets have traveled all over the world, touring Europe, Germany, and Japan, as well as domestic tours of the East and West Coast and the Southeast. Other YellowJacket performances boast venues such as Disney World, The Philadelphia 76ers' Wachovia Center, the Renaissance Hollywood, The Tonight Show, the White House, and a performance of the National Anthem in front of 75,000 fans at Ralph Wilson Stadium for the Buffalo Bills. The 2007 Meliora Weekend saw the celebration of the YellowJackets' 50th Anniversary with an Alumni Concert featuring the current group and 109 returning members spanning five decades of the group's amazing history!
