The goal of No Jackets Required is to promote the performance, discussion and appreciation of contemporary popular music within the University community. This goal will be achieved through scheduled meetings, rehearsals and performance of repertoire each semester.
No Jackets Required will perform at least one major concert representing a particular style, genre, artist or album each semester. The group will also sponsor several small performances for various groups as well as host numerous open mic/jam nights, as well as numerous educational and involvement events for both musicians and non-musicians alike. NJR is interested in any activities that promote networking and coordination within the music community on campus. With ideas for co-sponsorship or large performance, contact the President (External Affairs). To book the NJR band for smaller gigs, contact the President (Internal Affairs).
